In the name of God I Thomas STANTON of Blackthorne in the County of Oxford being sicke in body but God be praised in perfect mind sense memory and understanding Doe make and ordane this my last will and testament in forme ensuing First I bequeath my soul to the mercy of God almighty in Christ Jesus my saviour Redeemer and my body to the earth to? Hope of a joyful resurrection and those transitory blessings of this life which the debts I owe in right or confrence be duly paid by my executors herein after named. I give and ??? my ??? ?called ?the Windmill bani?l?e with the rights ??? and appts lying and being in the mannor of Blackthorne to my grandson Henry ?HALLSON? and his heirs forever. I give and bequeath to Ann STANTON my loving wife the use and occupation of all my household for and during the ??ome of her naturel life and the wood or fuell with my ?Gartfull? to her or her appo [appointee?] to use or dispose of as she or they shall see momeethe??? and from and after my said wife’s decease my will is that my said houshold goods shall remaine and bee to my granddaughter ?Cleudime? /WALKER/HOLTON? Save? my will is that those goods or chattels herin after named shall ?stand ?remaine and bee as stand? In my house where I now dwell to and for the use of Herny WALKER? My grandson samely? My Cowhouse and wood hovel ??? (one cupboard two tables my furnace a pocadning? tubb my cesterne? and all other my Implements belonging to my malthouse I alsoe give and bequeath to my said granddaughter Anne WALKER? all my stocke of catle challes //pon all cropps of corne and grayne now being in my barnes or now growing or ?logvow on my arable land within the said mannor of Blackthorne aforesaid I bequeath all my wearing apparel to my kinsman (bondsman?) Thomas STANTON the elder. And the rest of my goods chattells not hereby bequeathed I give to Anne my said wife and my brother John STANTON whom of this my last will and testament I make my executor willing him to perform the duty of faithful executor In testimony that this my last will I have hereto sett my hand and seale  the fifth day of April in the thirteen year of the reign of our sovereign Lord William the third King of England ?? 1701.
